Virtual care has come a long way in 13 years. And we like to think we’ve had a significant role in that transformation. Since 2012, we’ve been pioneering ways to deliver the most scalable, affordable, and highest quality care. Today, we’re accelerating our efforts to enhance healthcare experiences and delivery.

While traditional telehealth requires scheduling and appointments for 1:1 video visits (essentially recreating the brick and mortar experience online), CirrusMD has leveraged technology and AI to completely reimagine the point of care. In fall 2023, CirrusMD launched a new category of virtual care delivery, physician-first care and guidance, which staffs doctors in a virtual waiting room on stand-by for patients to arrive – allowing patients to connect with a live doctor in 60 seconds or less. No scheduling. No appointments. No waiting. This flips the care model on its head. 

Chat first modalities create scalable and efficient encounters when the patient is met with a doctor and not a bot. This new model creates better user experiences for both patients and doctors. Happy healthy users who receive care immediately leads to measurable ROI for employers and plan sponsors. With Physician-first Care & Guidance, the point of care is where the most critical elements of care begin:

  • We meet the patient in their moment of need, less than 60 seconds from their initial outreach.
  • We address the patient’s primary health issue as well as any additional underlying risks.
  • We provide a 7-day encounter window to ensure patients have ample time to start a treatment plan, ask questions, and address any follow-up needs.
  • We connect patients with a physician, supported by a multidisciplinary care team of board-certified physicians and health coaches, with access to specialists.
  • We leverage the patient’s in-network resources, as well as cost and quality data, to better support and guide them to the next best steps in their care journey.

This innovative model enhances access and speed to care for patients, reduces time and information barriers for physicians, integrates patient data into the care encounter, and promotes transparency at the point of referral—improving the point of care for all stakeholders.
